Inspiration

So, one of the cooler tools I discovered while taking my education class was a program called Inspiration.  It is a pretty intuitive program that allows you to make concept maps.  This is one I made for a world history section on the early Egyptian societies.  It was really easy to add stock images or search online for other pictures to add.  I can really see this as being a great tool for students to use.  They can individually, or as groups create their own concept maps as a review of the section.  There are a lot of different formats available too!  It was a lot of fun to play with and I look forward to using it again in the future.  It's not prohibitively expensive either, so mosey on over to http://www.inspiration.com/ and check it out.
